“Whether you love or hate him, you’ve only got one father. So it’s better to love or hate him while he’s alive because afterwards it’s too late.”
Léo has tried everything to get David and Max, his oldest sons, to make up. He even invited them to his 70th birthday without letting either of them know that the other would be there. But what a disaster that turned out to be! He’s given up.
Léo was a traveling salesman, often on the road. He believes that he’d raised his three sons to respect family values and feels unjustly rewarded for his efforts. And God knows just how hard it was to raise them alone after his wife’s death. Is he being selfish? Is it too much to ask for a little affection and even some gratitude from his children? Obviously, if their behaviour is anything to go by. He more or less has to make an appointment to see David for more than three minutes. Okay, being a CEO is a taxing job, but not every boss avoids his family to this degree. And Max, he’s been unemployed since resigning from his job and now has time on his hands. He could visit, but instead devotes himself to his wife – and to his depression. As for Simon, the eternal teenager, well even before all of this he already lived on another planet.
Léo no longer knows what to do to bring his family together again. Then fate lends a hand. Léo falls ill, just a minor illness, and not at all surprising when you’re 70 years old. His brother, a doctor, hospitalizes him and his children pay him visits. They come separately, of course, but still, they do come along. It’s actually quite good being ill. Now Léo knows what he must do. He pretends he has to undergo a delicate operation in three weeks time, leaving him enough time to take his children on a trip so as to be together with them, perhaps for the last time.
What child could say no to a father who has little time left and who only asks for a peaceful week together? None! So, they all head for Canada.

With: Philippe Noiret, Charles Berling, Pascal Elbé, Bruno Putzulu, Marie Tifo, Geneviève Brouillette, Pierre Lebeau, Jacques Boudet, Pascale Coulombe, Gilles Cloutier, Gilles Moisan, Stéphane Jacques, Catherine Leclerc, Maude Payette, Arnaud Denis, Eva Saint-Paul.

Gilberte adores her husband and is crazy about flirts who stay flirts. For a long time she has forgotten and kept hidden the existence of Eric Thomson (Lambert Wilson) a very hygiene conscious prudish American who had been her first husband. Involved by coincidence in a business relation with Gilberte’s husband, Eric Thomson is one evening invited to dine at the Valandrys. Ludicrous vaudeville, amorous tos and fros, Pas sur la Bouche, is a humorous musical and sexual film well delivered by singing actors whose energy and pleasure is infectious.

Set in 1940s France in the moments before the German occupation of Paris during World War II, Jean-Paul Rappeneau’s lively farce Bon Voyage combines a murder mystery, a political drama, and a series of madcap subplots including a secret scientific discovery and a gathering of socialites at Bordeaux’s Hotel Splendide. The result is a picturesque period piece full of energy, adventure, and breathtaking scenery. Dynamic performances from an all-star cast that includes Gerard Depardieu, Isabelle Adjani, and Gregori Derangere complete this delightfully pert film. Forced to flee Paris as the Germans advance, a mismatched group of oddly acquainted personalities reassemble in Bordeaux. Viviane (Adjani) is a stunning film actress whose talents are used both on-screen and off. She swiftly seduces the French prime minister, Beaufort (Depardieu), on the eve of WWII–a convenient catch in wartime. However, her former flame Frederic (Derangere), who Viviane neatly framed and sent to prison for a murder she committed, is now free and is still pursuing her. Frederic’s jailbreak buddy Raoul (Yvan Attal), is also in tow, with nothing but trouble up his sleeve. Meanwhile, a pretty physics student, Camille (Virginie Ledoyen) tempts the hearts of both ex-cons, while protecting her professor and their scientific discovery, which must not fall into German hands. Waiting on the wings is the suspicious journalist Winckler (Peter Coyote), whose sneaky demeanor is only matched by Thierry (Nicolas Vaude), the revenge-crazed nephew of the man Viviane murdered.

With: Isabelle Adjani, Gérard Depardieu, Virginie Ledoyen, Yvan Attal, Peter Coyote, Jean-Marc Stehlé, Aurore Clément.

Sarah Morton is a famous British mystery author. Tired of London and seeking inspiration for her new novel, she accepts an offer from her publisher John Bosload to stay at his home in Luberon, in the South of France. It is the off-season, and Sarah finds that the beautiful country locale and unhurried pace is just the tonic for her–until late one night, when John’s indolent and insouciant French daughter Julie unexpectedly arrives. Sarah’s prim and steely English reserve is jarred by Julie’s reckless, sexually charged lifestyle. Their interactions set off an increasingly unsettling series of events, as Sarah’s creative process and a possible real-life murder begin to blend dangerously together.
