Flic story

Flic story

Director: Jacques Deray (1975)

Based on the memoir of French police detective Roger Borniche, this hard-boiled crime story was directed by noir master Jacques Deray. Emile Buisson (Jean-Louis Trintignant) became a notorious criminal when he escaped from prison in 1947 after his wife and child died. Traumatized and psychopathic, Buisson eluded the authorities by killing anyone he suspected of informing. Overburdened cop Borniche (Alain Delon, Plein soleil) is assigned the case, and he tracks Buisson for over three years before he closes in on the serial killer. Ultimately finding his path to the criminal blocked by bureaucratic restrictions, Borniche takes the ultimate risk in order to put his quarry behind bars. This movie depicts the authentic story of the hunt for the dangerous criminal Emile Buisson, who escaped from prison in 1947. During three years Buisson manages to hide from detective Borniche by repeatedly killing his informants. When he’s finally caught with help from the little criminal Paul, Buisson will have committed more than 100 robberies and killed 30 people.

With: Alain Delon, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Renato Salvatori.
