Lucien, a young boy in a provincial French town in the 1960s, is embarrassed by his schoolteacher father Jacques’ regular clown routines. However, Jacques’ best friend André reveals to Lucien the origin of his father’s performance, a tale of heroism and courage during the German occupation of WWII.
